The symposium aimed to bring together researchers with diverse perspectives on various aspects of cell-cell communication, to share their findings on basic cell biology and translational advances.
The conference emphasised the interdisciplinary approach needed to improve our ability to create complex in vitro chemical environments composed of precise molecule concentrations. These new environments should allow researchers to more effectively study how biological processes are affected by biomolecules and their localised density.
Speakers were encouraged to share their latest findings, discuss new methodologies, forge collaborations and consider new directions for the advancement of the field.
Themes:
The role of extracellular vesicles in inter and intra cellular communication
Inter-organ communication and signal integration in health and disease
Integrated landscape of cell-cell communication and pathogenesis
